Quantum Clothing Group select Supply Chain Visualisation software from Fast React Systems
The Company
Quantum Clothing Group Ltd, formerly Coats Viyella Ltd, with business divisions that include Berghaus, Jeweltex & New Island Clothing, have chosen software from Fast React Systems to help the company plan and effectively control its entire supply chain.
Like much of the industry, in order to remain competitive, Quantum have become an international business with owned factories and sources all over the world. As their manufacturing presence in the UK has diminished, they have continued to grow and build in more cost effective areas, whilst retaining skilled Design, Technical and Logistics roles in the UK.
The Solution
This shift to an extended supply chain has brought its own problems, with lack of visibility being a key problem. Carl Pate of Quantum comments “Having shifted much of our production overseas, the availability of the key information to make the correct planning decisions is absolutely vital. What we needed was a tool that would improve visibility, flexibility and responsiveness, support the decision making process and enable us to generate achievable plans”.
The Evolution software from Fast React provides complete supply chain visualisation including critical path tracking, planning of both own production and fully sourced products materials requirements planning and full supplier collaboration facilities.
The new high performance system, which will fully integrate with each of the divisions’ existing systems, will provide an ability to visualise all planning information graphically on screen, enabling management to focus on any problem areas and then to take the appropriate decisions that will provide better customer service.
